<Opening Paragraph>
Greetings everyone. I hope you are well and finding ways to make each day the very best it can be for you. My personal experience is that unless I take the initiative to find ways of not only staying occupied but also being fulfilled, I tend to let precious time pass with little gain to my personal enrichment. Isolation is challenging, and while what we are experiencing is far less ominous than many pandemics humanity has faced in the past, the solitude is still difficult to navigate. Staying aware of the fact that we, us alone, are our own best friend and mentor is important to remember.
If I would have just come across this poem accidentally and read it, I wouldn’t have been very engaged with it. Your vivid, easy to follow interpretations brought it to life for me. I loved this colorful garden tour. Thank you VJ
Welcome Susie! Cummings is extraordinary when you set the mind aside and feel into him.
Great post! I completely agree. This was a nice little reminder to myself. Thank you for your wonderful insight!
I love ee Cummings and I agree with those above; I felt the freshness of a spring garden, with the first blooms of daffodils and lilac next and Yes, roses! Roses keep blooming and blessing us with their fresh scent all the way through fall…giving us the ever bearing now and here of Presence! I took your advice, VJ and read it over 3 times. I love your insight into life and it’s poetry! I’m going to sleep now and see what it brings into my restful moments. Much appreciated!
